RAINY THOUGHTS

RAINY THOUGHTS

As the clouds darken,
And fiercely the lightning strikes.
The rivers in reflection blacken,
And fear spreads as much as it likes.
In this rain the thirst of the lands,
Quenched and washed.
A joy for the dry sands,
Its dryness all lost.
Its sets this humble soul,
In a trance of thought,
A dream as a whole,
For a Greater Perhaps sought.
Because after dry spell,
Come rain afresh,
To soothe and make well,
Both heart and flesh.
My mind renews in an effort,
To try a new approach.
And a new endeavor,
Without any fear of reproach.
Maybe it shall on my belief,
Work and end a hopeless struggle.
But without trying I would not ever know relief,
And go on in this never ending tunnel.
So the leap of faith I’ll take,
With sightless strong ground,
And nothing left at stake,
An end, till dawn comes around.
