THE LURKING KID

THE LURKING KID

A teenager lurked in the classroom
Lurked I say as he never blended in
He stayed like a shadow
He was ever present
At least on the outside
But deep inside, all he sought was freedom
He was under the shackles of a devil
A devil by the name of depression
His life was fading away
Colors were in vain
He could find no pleasure
It was his friend he had lost in the midterm
That sent him in this vortex of despair and depression
His anxiety knew no bounds
Every step he took, he found only wrong
His brain turned his life into living hell
One day he gave way
He gave way to the devil, the devil conquered his heart
His soul was sadly forgotten, he was an antisocial freak to most
But no one knew the struggle of the valiant boy
We must do whatever we can to help these heroes
Rather than aiming their weakness and shaming them
They need help not hell
You mentally unstable people shall dwell in this piece
As you all deserve mental peace
The world needs you all, we must not let them get away
Or let ourselves go astray
If we are to change the world today
