Melody of a Canary by Ethan Vaz, 7K

The miniature yellow bird trapped within the cage,

Singing its melody like an opera on a stage.

Has the urge to escape and be free,

To perch on a branch of a tree.

A melodious tune so sad but true,

Gazing across the world with a spectacular view.

Ponders what would occur if it was in liberty,

But it knew that there were no chances for him to flee.

One fine day the wind had advanced,

So strong that the plants fell at a glance.

The canary seeing this thought how fun it would be to fly over,

But it knew that his dreams were not factual.

But it didn’t know what was about to occur,

The wind came towards the cage blasting with all its power.

The door of the cage blew open,

The canary’s luck was so great that its spirit was awoken.
