ETERNITY

Some moments are precious but we never know,

Until the wisps of time set us apart

From family, friend, flatterer and foe,

Then we see the remains of our heart

The clocks never stop, they forever tick

And yet we never cease to wish

For the miracle of a day to click

Above our heads, with something to cherish

Through tears of joy, heartbreak and grief,

We seek to remember, rejoice then mourn

The ones who never faltered in belief:

Whose names are now set forever in stone

Everlasting, all but an engraving

To remind us of those who we never stopped loving.
