Never have I thought that I would miss my school so much. I had great plans for the spring vacations which I was desperately waiting for. My “To do list” was full of travels and fun activities at the malls, but it all sank to the bottom of my heart. It’s quarantine right now and day by day it’s getting even more mundane.
I stuck my face on the window longingly to go out. After what seemed like an eternity, I was thinking about what other things would keep me busy and entertained. I looked outside the window sill and watched the disinfection program, the frontline workers were working hard, risking their lives for the entire nation. This was an eye-opener for me and I realize how humane they are. Their jobs could be potentially fatal to them, but regardless of all these facts, with their continued effort and determination, they help to keep us safe and protected without the thoughts of themselves and families. Someone rightly said “The sole meaning of life is to serve humanity”, looking at the COVID-19 warriors I recognized how humanity encircles the world in times of need. I appreciated their painstaking effort and promised myself to adhere to the rules of quarantine so that I could be a part of their phenomenal contribution towards society.
I felt blessed and took this quarantine as a great opportunity to spend time with my family and hone my skills and talents. I profusely thanked all the people who helped me stay safe with their constant efforts.
