‘Flower in Shimmering Daylight’- Poem by Koyel Saha 6F

In a bundle of flowers
You can find a bright pink
That surely doesn’t go away with a blink
Or perhaps a deep blue,
While its leaf has small dew. But what makes it truly amazing
Is the sunlight shimmering like such a spark
It’s sad to see it fading
As it disappears in the dark.
Roses symbolize a love
It’s bird is a dove,
A lily symbolizes pure,
Maybe it can remove all fear.
It’s much more than ‘just a few petals on a stem’
That I will condemn.
It tells us hope, faith, love and happiness,
Is that what ‘just a few petals on a stem’ truly is?
