Light of Tolerance – Sarika Manoj

We search for light.

We search in the darkness and claim to find no such light.

We don’t realise we are blind folded.

By our prejudices and abstruse preconceptions.

We accept that we are all unique and different.

Accept that the world is for all of us.

Then why do we find it so hard to accept those little different from us?

Those of different caste, culture, religion and opinion

We, blinded by our ego, declare to be the better ones.

But, as long as the goal is to live happily, we aren’t too different from each other.

Why don’t we all just join and agree to be tolerant?

Tolerant of each other and caring for each other

And find the light we have been searching

The Light of Tolerance.
