These black forest popsicles are the ideal summer treat. These are prepared with only a few simple ingredients and will blow away your taste buds!

Ingredients: (4 popsicles)

(96 ml) 3/4th cup whipping cream

(32 ml) 1/4 cup condensed milk

2 tsp vanilla extract

25 gm dark chocolate

(32 ml) 1/4th cup whipping cream

Candied/glazed cherries

Any store brought or homemade chocolate cake or brownie

Method :

Whip up 3/4th cups of whipping cream until stiff peaks form. Then add in the condensed milk and vanilla extract. Mix well. This is the ice cream base.

Separate the ice cream base into 2 parts.

In a small bowl, heat 1/4th cups of cream and pour it over 25 gms of chopped dark chocolate. Mix well. This is chocolate ganache. Add the ganache to one half of the ice cream base that was set aside.

Cut pieces of the candied or glazed cherries and the brownie or cake.

Assemble :

In your popsicle mold, alternate between adding the candied cherries, cake and chocolate ice cream base. Then fill the remaining part of the mold with the vanilla ice cream and some more candied cherry and brownie . Do these with all the popsicle molds and insert the stick and pop it into the freezer for at least 6 hours or overnight. Once ready enjoyy!

Note :

  • If the ice cream base deflates after addition of condensed milk, do not worry, this is normal and does not affect the texture of the ice cream.
